Andriy Astakhov: Nostalgia for a queue

Nostalgia for a queue Today I was standing in a breadline. For 15 minutes, or even for 20. But the bread was warm, though. However, when I brought a long loaf home there were only warm memories about its warmth left. As warm as memories about old ladies and gentlemen who kept me company in line. Tetyana Savchenko: How not to fall into flat swindlers’ clutches?

Ian Potorii: ‘Bread and Circuses!’

‘Bread and Circuses!’ Each of us at least once in our life faced with the choice of an employing company, thinking of what to pick. And if before everything was defined by the salary level and occupation only, now employees pay more and more attention to so called additional work conditions (social pack and the other immaterial welfare).

Tetyana Matychak: The Ukrainians don’t trust bankers and insurers

The Ukrainians don’t trust bankers and insurers How do you think, why despite rapid development of banking and insurance markets, most of us still don’t want to hear about trusting the money to banks or insurance companies? To my mind, the roots of the problem are in 1990-ies.

Oleksandr Siedykh: What will happen to the currency rate?

What will happen to the currency rate? Being a vehement fan of international currency market FOREX I couldn’t but pay attention to the current situation with the rate of US dollar to hryvna, or, to be more precise, I turned my eye to possible dollar divergence from its common 5.05 hrn per $1.

Ian Potorii: With ‘chick’ in a shelter of branches, or ‘on the rocks’ but in a palace?

With ‘chick’ in a shelter of branches, or ‘on the rocks’ but in a palace? A question of getting real estate (particularly, an apartment) for me personally, and for most young families as well, keeps aloof. Working in a sphere of bank business for more than three years even non-specialist in loans (who, actually, is the author of the following blog) with lively interest will easily get into details of all credit operations, interest rates, amounts of a primary fee, and schedules of paying back the loan…
