At every possibility I try to follow what is going on in the world. Of course, there is no direct connection between the events abroad and future development of Ukraine, but, undoubtedly, we take the experience of other countries within the limits of our own necessity. That’s why it is possible to find out about the services which our banks would be able to provide, from the list of offers abroad.

Only several weeks ago I appeared to be a witness to one case, which I’d like to tell the readers so as to warn them of possible consequences of endless trust to unknown people.

It turned out, such a thing may happen, when you have to spend several month and plenty of nerves on LTD registration, if during registration there will take place unforeseen circumstances.

In our blogs we have already raised the question about customer service quality in Ukraine. But there seems to be more to it than that. I would like to share my observations on service in Ukrainian banks.

Recently I have decided to use all possibilities of modern banking technologies, and to connect up SMS-banking to my salary card. The service is quite convenient as I would have a possibility to control my operations, and it would be much more difficult for the swindlers to cheat me – I would always be able to block my card, for instance, after an SMS about cashing some part of assets somewhere in Chernovtsy.

The development of information technologies has led to what science-fiction writers of the previous century would never have thought: parallel to the real world the virtual one appeared and gained its strength. But yet not so many people know about parallel universe existence with its inhabitants, laws, history and even economy.

I can everlastingly criticize banks. Especially banks web sites. The straws in other eyes are clearly seen, the logs in my own don’t even bother. But if my own logs are dealt with constantly, the straws I can just write about in a blog, which will not make banks sites better.

Quite recently there appeared information in the press that several big banks introduced new service for their customers – self-service halls, where a customer can carry out a whole number of bank operations without assistance of bank workers. In itself the idea is wonderful – there is no need to stand in a queue and waste your time and time of bank workers. It is natural that our company couldn’t miss such a novelty of domestic financiers, and we decided to get to know the new service better.

What is a real credit rate in your bank? – such a question we should ask the bankers when inquiring about the credit terms. And even more, if we suddenly forgot to specify a real credit charge, a bank employee must politely tell us about ALL forthcoming expenditures connected with the process of giving and servicing the credit, and name that mysterious ‘real rate’ which we had suddenly forgotten to ask about.
