Description of the sight
The Ilyichevsk lighthouse, 19 meters high, is perfectly visible from different points of the city embankment. It is located in a small town located south of Odessa, on the Black Sea coast. Built in 1965-2005, it is a modern monument of engineering and is very popular with travelers and fishermen. Tourists love to photograph seascapes at different times of the day, and local fishermen have been using the pier with a lighthouse as their permanent “workplace” for several years now.
