Description of the sight
The ancient "Royal cellar" got its name in honor of the Romanian ruler Carol III, who visited this place in the last century and left an autograph right on the stone wall of the vault. For the construction of the basement, natural stone and white clay from the banks of the Dniester Estuary were used. In order to maintain the constant temperature and humidity necessary for the storage, maturation and aging of wine, the cellar was built deep underground. Currently, the Royal Cellar is located on the territory of the Shabo Wine Culture Center, it houses a unique collection of ancient wines, repeatedly awarded various medals at international exhibitions. In addition, the Shabo Wine Center provides a unique service - in the Royal Cellar in special cells you can store your own family wine in order to enjoy its taste after many years.
