Description of the sight
Botanical Garden of Kharkiv University named after V.N. Karazin is a research and environmental site of the university. The garden is a component of the natural reserve fund of national importance. It was founded at the same time as Kharkov University in 1804. This is the oldest botanical garden in the country. The collection of the garden has more than seven thousand species of plants in closed and open ground. Visitors can purchase high-quality planting material for both trees and grasses here, as well as get advice and guidance from landscaping and crop care professionals. In the botanical garden there are group tours (from 15 people) to the greenhouses and the territory of the garden.
