Description of the sight
As a monument in the locomotive depot of Ternopil, there is a steam locomotive L-5141, or as it is also called Pobeda. This is a Soviet mainline freight locomotive of the 1-5-0 type, developed at the end of World War II jointly by the Kolomna Plant and VNIIZhT under the guidance of the outstanding designer L. S. Lebedyansky and academician S. P. Syromyatnikov and produced from 1945 to 1955.
