The fountain and the park are located on the street. Sumy in Victory Square (Opposite KHATOB), not far from the metro stations "Universitet", "Architektor Beketov", "Historical Museum" and "Constitution Square".
Description of the sight
The Mirror Stream is a fountain and an arbor, one of the symbols of Kharkov. The original name is the Victory Monument. It is located on Sumskaya Street, opposite the building of the Opera and Ballet Theatre. The Mirror Stream was erected according to the project of the architect V.I. Korzha in 1947. Once upon a time there was a cemetery on this place, then the Mironositskaya Church was erected, which was demolished in 1930, and after that a square with a Mirror Stream was laid out. In the summer of 2007, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Mirror Stream, it was reconstructed. On August 7, a new fountain was launched with 137 nozzles, two artificial fog units and 135 bright spotlights. The bowl of the fountain was tiled, and the walls were ennobled with marble.
