Description of the sight
Kharkiv-Passenger Station is a large complex of structures, the purpose of which is to serve passengers and provide them with all the necessary services. The station complex, in addition to 7 passenger platforms, includes hotels, ticket offices, a luggage compartment, a shopping center and a car park. The total area of the Kharkiv-Passenger station is 32.6 thousand square meters. The station building is the embodiment of the creative competition of several generations of masters of artistic casting and bas-relief, as well as sculptors and artists. Laconic and monumental, it was recognized as one of the most complex in its constructive solution in Ukraine. On both sides of the central hall are the South and North towers 42 meters high. The clock located on the South Tower is the largest in Kharkiv, its diameter is 4.27 meters.
