Description of the sight
The Kharkov cable car is a transport and walking system that connects the Pavlovo Pole microdistrict and Sarzhin Yar with Sumskaya Street. It was put into operation in 1971. It has 18 legs and 124 double passenger cabins with a carrying capacity of 180 kilograms. The length of the road is 1387 meters. One-way travel time takes 18 minutes, during which passengers rise to a height of 8-26 meters above the ground, from where a breathtaking view of the green spaces of Gorky Park and Lesopark, Pavlovo Pole and Shatilovka opens.
