Description of the sight
Museum of medal art. E.V.Kharabeta was opened in Mariupol in 2005. The museum presents 700 works by the master, honored medalist artist, including orders, badges, medals, bas-reliefs, medallions and much more. Efim Viktorovich Kharabet is known not only in Mariupol, but also outside the city. It is no coincidence that he is an honorary citizen of Mariupol, as well as an honored worker of arts, because it is he who owns the authorship of the state awards of Ukraine, attributes of the city government, as well as the coat of arms of the city. After the death of the master in 2004, by decision of the city council, a memorial plaque was opened on the house of Yefim Viktorovich, then a monument appeared in the cemetery, and soon the Kharabet Museum was opened, and not without the help of the creator's widow, who transferred his works to the museum. In the museum, the area of which is 60 sq.m., there are 18 stands representing more than 700 works of the master to tourists.
