Description of the sight
The South Bridge of the Dnieper is a road bridge across the Dnieper River, opened in December 2000. It connects residential areas - Pridneprovsk and Pobeda. The bridge was built in two stages - from 1982 - 1993 and from 1998 to 2000. The main task of the bridge is to unload the other three bridges of the Dnieper and shorten the path between the southern and southeastern parts of the city. The bridge is 1248 meters long and 22 meters wide. In 2002, the construction of a road junction on the left bank of the Dnieper was completed and an overpass was built across the railway.
