Description of the sight

The founder of the palace, M. Groholsky, was a magnate from Poland. His father, Franciszek Xavier Grochalsky, a Bratslav judge, took possession of Pyatnichany with the dowry of his wife Anna. He did not have his own estate, but this did not prevent him from wisely disposing of his wife's dowry. His son, in 1760, founded the Dominican monastery and church in Vinnitsa. In his village Tereshki he built a chapel. In order to build a whole estate, Turkish and Tatar prisoners were involved in the work. As a result of the work, a one-story palace was built, in the form of a square, which was intended for defense and life in it. On both sides, in the corners, two-story turrets rose. A little in the distance, 2 one-story square towers were erected. A few hundred meters from the castle stretched ditches and ramparts that surrounded the area with a wall. Later, after the death of M. Grokhalsky, the estate was reconstructed. After reconstruction, the estate began to include a pavilion and an outbuilding, which are located in a landscape park, as well as the palace itself.
