The Discalced Carmelite Monastery was built in 1642. It is decorated in the Baroque architectural style. The ensemble of the monastery includes a temple with a large dome and two bell towers on the sides. The walls of all buildings are covered with many beautiful frescoes and finely crafted elements. The monastery is surrounded by large walls, which survived many sieges and served as a good defense for the temple for a long time. The monastery had many owners and owners. This is due to many political and religious changes that took place in this area. So, the monastery was both in the possession of the monks of the Carmelite order, and various politicians. The fortifications of the monastery were used to repel enemy attacks until the Second World War. Therefore, the monastery had to be restored many times. The last large-scale repair work was carried out in 1970 - 1980. Then the roof and the dome of the temple were completely repaired. Now the monastery is used for religious events, and in some rooms classes of music and art schools are held.
