Description of the sight
The Old Market is the oldest square in Lviv. In the 12th century, the city center was located here. The arrangement of houses on the square remained the same as in the 12th century, but the houses themselves were rebuilt in the 19th-20th centuries. There are located: the Church of St. Onuphrius, the Church of St. Nicholas and the Church of Ivan the Baptist. In 1349, after the conquest of Lviv by the Polish king Casimir III, the center of Lviv was transferred to the modern Market, the Old Market remained the center of the Krakow suburb. Currently, the square is one of the main attractions of the city.
