Embankment of the Southern Bug River, in the center of Vinnitsa, famous for the ROSHEN light and music floating Fountain, which opened in September 2011. The history of the appearance of the Roshen embankment in Vinnitsa is inextricably linked with the confectionery factory of the same name, located on the banks of the Southern Bug River. Its construction was completed in 2007, and a year later a project for the reconstruction of the embankment appeared. Work on it and the adjacent street began two years later. Here, trenches were dug, power cables were laid, the high bank was “dressed” in concrete, a wide staircase was installed, a small pier for motor boats was built, the embankment was decorated with greenery and winding stone paths, and a playground appeared on it. But the main attraction of the Roshen embankment was a magnificent floating fountain with a projection tower and powerful audio speakers. It is considered one of the most spectacular fountains in the country. Jets of water of different sizes, soaring up to the enchanting music, create a large - about 16 meters high and 45 meters wide - screen, on which extraordinary shows are created with the help of world and laser effects. The embankment was equipped with private investments from the Petro Poroshenko Foundation, for the reconstruction of which 70 million hryvnias were spent. Thanks to him, and the head of the Roshen confectionery concern, an abandoned, unattractive stretch of coast has become a favorite vacation spot for children and adults.
