Banking metals - gold, silver, platinum, platinum group metals, ingots and powders, as well as coins made from precious metals, according to Ukrainian legislation, are classified as currency values.

In accordance with paragraph 165.1.51. Article 165 of the Tax Code of Ukraine income from operations with currency values ​​(except securities) associated with the transfer of ownership of such currency values, with the exception of income, the taxation of which is expressly provided for by other rules of this section is not included in the annual or monthly taxable income and is not subject to personal income tax (PIT) . None of the sections of the TCU establishes such exceptions for banking metals.
